What Makes Us Unique?
The question we are most often asked is "What makes The Finishing Source program unique?"
Our first priority is to make sure your experience with The Finishing Source is top-notch, from your first contact with us through class and beyond, continuing to help you grow your business to its full potential. We are proud to outline our commitment to our clients and students:
We welcome any questions our potential students might have about class, and are happy to talk to you about any course of interest. When possible, you can even speak to our instructors regarding specific questions about curriculum. It is important to research any program you might attend, and we want you to feel we are a good fit for your needs.
In an effort to help you orient yourself to Atlanta, we are happy to provide you with a list of hotels close to the studio that offer special rates to our students. For students staying at these hotels, we are pleased to offer a free shuttle service to and from the studio on class days. All you need to do is call us to reserve your seat.

All you need to bring to class is your desire to learn.
We provide a continental breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. All your painting supplies and materials are furnished to you throughout class. Workbooks with extensive notes are provided, including at-a-glance notes and step-by-step procedure pages.
Our instructors are working professionals, each with a minimum of 10 to 20 years experience in the field. All maintain full time contracting companies, and bring their years of field experience and on- the- job tips to the classroom. Taking painting theory to a site is their specialty, and they understand the demands of running a decorative painting business. There is also an assistant working in every class, to distribute supplies and keep tools cleaned so that students are free to spend their time learning and creating. After the first day of class, students are welcome to arrive one hour ahead of scheduled class time to do additional work or to spend extra time practicing their new skills.

Techniques are presented first by your teacher and then created on your own sample boards with instructor guidance. Some classes include PowerPoint slide shows to help students understand the application of their new finishes. Class size in Atlanta is limited to 14 students, enabling instructors and assistants to provide plenty of individual student attention. Classes generally average 8-12 students.
Most of our curriculum is taught with Faux Effects ® and Aqua Finishing Solutions ® materials. These patented paints and techniques have changed the industry of decorative painting forever. This revolutionary line water borne materialsis both user and environmentally friendly.
With almost three decades of instruction, The Finishing Source has long set the standard for student/school relationships. Our interaction with students during class is only the beginning of what we hope will be long-term associations. In our ongoing effort to help students advance their businesse, we offer several services and programs unique to our school:

Designed as another way of keeping our students up to date, it is filled with current and relevant information such as new material and product releases, industry trends, helpful hints, a local calendar of events and more. Each issue focuses on a different product group, new technique, new class or upcoming special events and programs available to our students so that, over time, they create a valuable reference "library." |

The Finishing Source is pleased to announce its new programs, Finish of the Quarter and Fabulous Finish Kits. These programs are designed to help our students produce great looking samples in an easier and more economical manner. Each quarter, a demonstration will be scheduled in Atlanta to introduce and unveil a new finish that can be produced from a Fabulous Finish Kit. These finishes will be designed to introduce new ideas, techniques, and materials to stimulate your own imagination and expand your knowledge. The Fabulous Finish Kit is a self-contained, economical way to help you reproduce each quarter's finish for your portfolio. Kits include photographed step-by-step instructions; smaller pre-dipped portions of the materials needed in pre-mixed colors, and formulas. The time, date and cost of each demonstration will be posted on the website and listed in the calendar page of that quarter's newsletter-The Finishing Resource. The kits will be provided for paying attendees, and will be on sale through the entire quarter for those who are unable to attend. |
